Why don't filled PDF form fields print?
Filled form fields can be omitted when the print settings exclude them or the field is configured not to print. Check the field's print setting and the PDF viewer's print options.
Some PDF applications let a field be visible on screen but excluded from print. Print dialogs may also offer separate choices for document content, form fields, comments, and markups. In Acrobat, for example, the Comments & Forms setting controls whether entered form data and comments are included.
Check these settings
- Open the PDF in a desktop PDF reader and confirm the filled values are visible.
- In the print dialog, choose an option that includes form fields or entered data.
- If you created the form, inspect the field properties and make sure its print behavior is enabled.
- Print a test page or save a test copy as PDF, then reopen it and check the result.
If you need the values to travel as fixed page content, make a separate flattened copy and verify it before sending. Keep the interactive original in case someone needs to edit the form later.
